Loving Lately: Neons for 9 to 5

If you are anything like me, you love this look, but immediately think "That's just not my life!" I have "business casual" job, I'm no one's thin, toned and tanned size 2 and frankly, it's just not me. So, enough about that-- let's work neons into normal life!

Wear to Work: Floral Pants

Most trends these days seem completely unwearable for those of us (most of us?) who live in the world of dress codes and employee handbooks.

Well, huge floral prints can be totally work appropriate. I mean, she even has closed toed shoes on. It doesn't get much more office appropriate. 

Here's the equation: 

Floral pants/skirt + 

somewhat conservative shoes + 

solid shirt + 

blazer to pull it all together+

What to Wear for the Holidays in a Recession?!

Ok, so I am sure you are aware that there has been a bit of an economic crisis lately. I'm not sure if you are all feeling the same way but I am feeling like saving my pennies for a rainy day instead of buying a bunch of new party frocks. Soooo... I am thinking of making my party dresses for the season... here are some ideas I'm thinking of:

Dress A from that pattern perhaps? Obviously NOT made out of crushed velvet, but maybe a simple gun metal gray fabric and an ornate bottom.


Dress A in this pattern could be really cute as well.
